User Management

As the buyer administrator, you have the ability to add users and update their details on the IENT Application. 

Note: The org admin users cannot delete the default org admin user created during tenant creation.

In this section, you can perform the following:

Add Users


There are several methods by which you can add new users:

Add New Users Manually

To add a user to the system manually:

  1. Login to the IENT Application.

  2. Click on Settings > User Management.

  3. Click on the + button on the top right corner.

  4. Enter the following details of the new user:

    • Username: This is the new user’s username that must be unique in the system.
      Note: This is a mandatory input.

    • Salutation: Select a salutation for the user from the dropdown.
      Note: This is a mandatory input.

    • First Name
      Note: This is a mandatory input.

    • Middle Name

    • Last Name
      Note: This is a mandatory input.

    • Title: This is the user’s title that will be used across customer applications.

    • Email
      Note: This is a mandatory input.

    • Phone Number

    • Role: Select the user’s role from the dropdown. You will be able to select multiple roles such as Org User, Partner User, Bulletin Manager, etc. On selecting a partner role such as Partner User or Partner Admin, you will also have to select the name of the Partner.
      Note: This is a mandatory input.

    • Partner: You can select the partner from the dropdown list. This field is mandatory and available, when you select the user role as Partner User or Partner Admin.

    • Business Organization: You can select one of your tenant’s business organizations from the dropdown. 

    • Location: Based on your selected Business Organization, you will be able to select a location.

    • Status
      Note: This is a mandatory input.

    • Create the user in Keycloak: If enabled, this user will be created in keycloak as well.
      Note: Keycloak is an open-source Identity and Access Management (IAM) tool used to secure applications and services by centralizing user authentication and authorization. For more information about Keycloak, please visit Keycloak’s website.

  5. Click on Submit.

Note: A user created with role as Partner Admin (Supplier Admin), has to login to IENT application and accept the EULA and only then any transactional data that has this user associated with will start displaying it.

Import New Users

To import new users to the system:

  1. Login to the IENT Application.

  2. Click on Settings > User Management.

  3. Click on the kebab menu in the top right corner. There is an option to import users from local system:

    Import from Local: You can import new users by uploading a file from your local system. When you select this option, a pop-up will prompt you to upload the file from your local system. Select the file to upload and click on Submit.

Create Users in Keycloak

Note: To be able to manage users on Keycloak, contact the IENT Super Administrator to grant you realm access to manage your tenant users.

If you have been granted access to the keycloak realm by the Super Administrator, as the Buyer Administrator, you can manage users by using the below URL and logging in with your Buyer Admin credentials:

https://<instance_url>/auth/admin/<realm name>/console

Example: https://qa.auth.ient.io/auth/admin/microsoft/console

View Users


To view all your users:

  1. Login to the IENT Application.

  2. Click on Settings > User Management.

    The following details of all Users are displayed:

    • ID

    • User Name

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

    • Roles

    • Business Organizations

    • Location

    • Status
      You can Toggle the status button of any user, to activate or deactivate the said user.

Impersonate a User


Impersonation is a provision for users to be able to execute operations that use different security information than that which is owned by you. This can be helpful when an application needs to change the security context of a single user instance.

To impersonate another user:

  1. Log in to the IENT Application.

  2. From the home screen, click on your user name in the top right corner, and select Impersonate.

  3. Select the user you wish to impersonate from the list or search for the user from the search bar.

  4. On selection of the target user, the application data and usability will now be transformed to that of the impersonated role.

Download Users


To download a list of users:

  1. Login to the IENT Application.

  2. Click on Settings > User Management.

    Select the users that you want to download and then click on the kebab menu on the top right corner of the screen and select Download Options.

  • Download as PDF: Export all the selected records in the data table in PDF format.

  • Download as CSV: Export all the selected records in the data table in CSV format.

Delete Users


To delete a user:

  1. Login to the IENT Application.

  2. Click on Settings > User Management.

    This will display all the created users. On the user that you want to delete, click on the kebab menu icon and select Delete.

  3. Confirm the deletion by clicking on Yes.
