Problem Types

You can define the different kinds of problem types such as hardware-related issues, problems corresponding to documentation, etc.

1. Log in to the IENT Application.

2. Go to Settings > Global Data > Problem Types.

You will be able to view all your existing problem types. Click on the > button to view child records for each problem type (if they have any).

See here to explore how you can search, view, sort, and filter all the displayed records.

3. To add a problem type, click on the + button in the top right corner, and add the following mandatory details:

  • Problem Type Name

  • Status
You can also select a Parent Problem Type from the dropdown. (Only after a problem type is created in the system, it can be used as parent problem type for other records. The very first record created in the Problem Types module will be a parent record, subsequent records can have a parent problem type association.)

  1. The record created will get listed in the Problem Types screen.
