» Child Item

You can make an item as child item to an existing item. To do this you can use the Parent Item option while creating it, as described in the previous section. Alternatively, you can use the kebab menu option of any existing item to add a child item to it.

To add a child item to an existing item:

1. Log in to the IENT Application.

2. Go to Settings > Global Data > Items.
   You will be able to view all your existing items.

3. Click > against an item to view its child item (if it exists).

4. Click the kebab menu of the item to which you want to add a child item and click +Add option.
   The Create Items screen is displayed with the pre-selected Parent Item.

   

5. Select or enter the following mandatory and options details:

   • Basic Item Info section containing details, such as item name, type, code, description and status.
     Note: The Parent Item field is pre-selected and you can change it or remove it, if required. If the value from this field is removed, then the item being created will no longer be a item part to any item.

   • Cost & Unit Details section containing price and unit of measure.

   • Tax Details

6. Click Submit.
