Global Search Configuration for Modules

As the Org Admin (Buyer Administrator), you will be able to set global search configuration for the following modules: 

  • Tenant Management

  • Role Management

  • User Management

  • Business Organizations

  • Locations

  • Portal Configuration

  • Email Templates

  • Global Data (all modules)

  • Category Management

  • Region Management

  • Division Management

 

Note: As an Org Admin (Buyer Admin), when you perform a global search, the search results will fetch data from the all the modules listed above and the applications. The search will only display the records or data for which the Buyer Admin is authorized to view/access.

To set the global search configuration for a module (Here, it is explained using the Tenant Management module as an example)

  1. Log in to the IENT Application.

  2. Go to Settings > Tenant Management.

 3. Click Config (In some modules it will be available in the kebab menu (three-dot)).

4. In the Basic Config screen you can modify the Record Type and Location of the record, if required. These fields are pre-configured by default for all the modules when new tenants are created in IENT.

5. Click Global Search tab.

The Global Search Config screen is displayed.

6. Click Select property link to select the properties as primary identifying values for the record and click Add.

7. Similarly, add the additional identifying values by clicking the Additional Identifying value link in the left pane.

8. Click Categories link on the left pane to add categories/facets to the record.

9. Click the Add Category link.

10. Select the options from the list you want to add as category for the record and click Add (The Org Admin can create new categories in the Global Search Categories module, if required, and it will reflect in this Category list).

11. Click Save.

The Global search config saved successfully message is displayed.

Example of performing a global search, the following screen displays the search performed for the term delegate access.

The screen displays the results organized as record type, where it is located and primary and additional identifying values of the records. The facets/categories on the left pane allow further filtering of the search results as required. User can select multiple facets/categories and the search results updates accordingly. You can clear all filters with Clear all link.

Translation in Global Search Configuration

IENT enables you to display the field labels provided in the Basic Config screen of the global search functionality in other language.

To provide translation (Here, it is explained using the Tenant Management module as an example)

  1. Log in to the IENT Application.

  2. Go to Settings > Tenant Management.

3.  Click Config (In some modules it will be available in the kebab menu (three-dot)).

4. Click Translations.

5. From the drop-down list in the Translation content is of field, select the language that you want to use.

6. Modify the corresponding translation for the field labels in the text box provided against each field, if required (the translation is provided by default).

7. Click Submit.

Translations updated successfully message is displayed.
