Discarding and Rescheduling a Reverse Auction

The buyer can discard or reschedule a reverse auction as needed. A reverse auction can be discarded before it is published to vendors (till the status is Scheduled or it is in draft state). An open auction cannot be discarded, it can only be rescheduled (postponed) before the auction closure date and time is reached.

The following two sections describe the discarding of a reverse auction before it is published to vendors; and rescheduling of a reverse auction when it is open.

Discarding

To discard a reverse auction:

1. Log in to the IENT application.

   

2. On the homepage, click the Reverse Auction app.
   The Reverse Auction app list view screen is displayed along with all the existing auctions, if any.

   

3. Click Reverse Auction ID with status as Scheduled or Saved as draft.
   The Reverse Auction Details screen is displayed (the following screenshot displays an auction which is scheduled).

   

4. Click Discard (or Click Discard Draft in case the auction is in draft stage).
   The confirmation pop up window is displayed.

   

5. Click Yes.
   The record gets deleted from the Reverse Auction app list view screen.

Rescheduling

To reschedule a reverse auction:

1. Log in to the IENT application.

   

2. On the homepage, click the Reverse Auction app.
   The Reverse Auction app list view screen is displayed along with all the existing auctions.

   

3. Click Reverse Auction ID with status as Scheduled or Published.
   The Reverse Auction Details screen is displayed.

   

4. Click Edit.

   

5. The Reverse Auction date & time field is enabled. Enter the new end date and time for the auction. Either of time and date or both can be modified.

6. Click Save.
   The auction end date and time gets updated and reflects in the Reverse Auction app list view screen.

   

   The Reverse Auction End Date & Time also gets updated at the vendors end. Also, the Reverse Auction End Date & Time cannot be preponed.
